I am writing today to refute everything that has been said about Tea Party advocates.

Today I attended the Tea Party Rally in my home town. I saw all kinds of signs, heard all kinds of speakers, and met all kinds of peoples. I saw white, blacks, and hispanics rallying together for the same cause and standing up for what is right AS ONE PEOPLE...AMERICANS. I started a conversation with a couple of African-American folks, who both corrected me and both claimed to be just AMERICANS. Making a mental note of that, I applaud them for seeing past racial lines and seeing what it means to be an American (see my post on American Heritage). We got into a conversation about why they are supporting the Tea Party. The woman was very passionate and angry at the left; she said it was simply that they are just looking to play the "race card" and nothing more. She went on to say that doing so is just like calling wolf...you do it so many times that people just blow it off, and when someone really does make a racist comment, no one is going to believe you or pay any attention. The gentleman, who said he always phoned in on our local conservative morning talk show, said that the left wants to make the whites feel guilty for being white, and they want to scare the blacks away and make them feel guilty for having conservative beliefs; "there is no country better for black people," said he. They agreed that the liberals, our President included, want to divide us and incite troubles across racial lines. I finally asked them what they thought about Obama's amusement with our rallies, and about his saying that we should be "thanking him" for being outrageously taxed. We all agreed that Barack was doing nothing more than mocking us and trying to divide us, exactly what the Founding Fathers did NOT want to do. Talking with the three of us was another white gentlemen who is preparing to deploy oversees in the next few months. We all agreed that the Tea Party rallies were a great way to express our displeasure with the government. He made a comment, though, that absolutely blew me away: "Don't make me fight a war over seas when the people at home aren't fighting for what is right." I don't think I could have summed it up any better than that.

The sad thing is, though, the left doesn't care. It has already made its mind up. It could look at a whole slideshow of pictures, read a novel of comments, and see for themselves that the Tea Party is not just made up of white rednecks, but it is a conglomeration of races, genders, religions, and ethnicities. Take heart, though, fellow conservatives. One day the blind followers of the MSM will realize that they have been lied to by the media and by this socialist administration. So go ahead and believe the lies has made up about Tea Partiers. Here are the facts. Sure, we have to put up with their criticisms and shouting racial epithets at us for allegedly shouting racial epithets, degrading conservative leaders, and silencing the voices of the right. Now, their evil plan is to infiltrate us, like a wolf in sheep's clothing. Now I know that in a previous post I have vowed to refrain from using negative terms to refer to my ideological enemies, but in this case, I am going to make an exception.

There is a group of people out there who have come up with a devious plan to make the Tea Partiers look stupid. There is a man named Jason Levin, somewhere out there beneath the pale moonlight, that has called his left-wing blood brothers together to destroy the credibility of the Tea Partiers. His website, CrashTheTeaParty.Org calls his followers a group of "Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who are all sick and tired of the loose affiliation of racists, homophobes, and morons." Their mission? "To dismantle and demolish the Tea Party." How? By exaggerating our "least appealing qualities."

Now you may be asking why I think Mr. Levin wins the America's Biggest Oaf. First of all, he is delusional enough to believe that the MSM looks highly upon Tea Partiers. After all, they are the ones who tried, albeit unsuccessfully, to pin us as racists, among other things. Secondly, he is ignorant: he has the nerve to call us racists, homophobes, and morons, but he has no proof, but not for lack of trying on the left. After all, the purpose of the Tea Parties this week is to protest taxes, not to bring back slavery. I can see how he gets the two confused. Finally, and what makes him a shoo-in for this award, Mr. Levin posted his nefarious plot online. Note to Mr. Levin, I'll speak loudly so you can hear me. ANYONE CAN FIND YOUR WEBSITE ON THE INTERNET, NOT JUST LEFT-WING-LOONIES LOOKING TO DESTROY THE CREDIBILITY OF THE TEA PARTY. Your pal Craig Veroga got the right idea when he password protected his website, for club members only. What does this mean for you Mr. Levin? Besides the fact that you won the ABO Award? It means you blew your cover. You exposed yourself. Do you think people at Tea Parties tomorrow and this weekend are going to let you get away with your blatant stupidity? Do you not realize that people will KNOW that it is YOU AND YOUR FOLLOWERS who are parading around with misspelled signs, talking like hicks and saying racist things? WE know that we are not racists. If you were intelligent enough to come up with your own thoughts, you would realize that we are not racists. In all honesty, I feel sorry for you because you are just under the delusion of what your MSM gurus are telling you.

So. Enough bad mouthing. What does this mean for Tea Parties this week??

If you see some moron posing as a Tea Partier but "Acting a Fool," 1) DO NOT ANTAGONIZE THEM. That is what they want you to do...don't cause a scene, because that is what they want. 2) (and most importantly) Take pictures of them. Put them on facebook. Send them to me. Send them to Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Michelle Malkin, etc. They want to look like idiots? Fine. We'll make sure we document it and make sure everyone on the World Wide Interweb knows what they really are.

I'm just saying.

Democratics

Over the past fifty-ish years, our country has allowed the will of the few to govern the will of the majority. Call it what you want to call it, we are becoming a weak nation. Weak because we deny our spiritual roots. Now, have your theories about what religions and theologies that the founding fathers practiced, but the bottom line is that they knew that without the help of some higher authority, the Revolutionary War would have never been won, among countless other things.

Over the past 235 years, Americans have been through so much that has caused us to rally behind the American flag and say "One Nation Under God." Since then prayer has been ripped from schools, football games, courthouses, public meetings, etc. etc. And now, at the request of one overly obese 18-year old valedictorian, it is now being ripped from graduations. Not only that, but after the high school polled its senior class asking them if they would like to have a prayer at their graduation ceremony. Lobbying the assistance of the ferocious ACLU, Eric Workman is suing the school in order to stop the previously voted-upon prayer from ever taking place. Quoting Workman's legal representative Ken Falk, "You can't have a vote whether or not to violate somebody's constitutional rights. It just doesn't work that way." Forgive me Ken, but I think that is how our President was elected. Everything that man stands for violates everything that I stand for. But I grit my teeth and wade through the muck, waiting to seek revenge in 2012.

The ACLU claims that the school should never have asked the students to vote on it in the first place. (I guess he would rather the esteemed Valedictorian make the decision for the rest of the class, because obviously Mr. Workman's rights are the only ones that are worthy of any merit.) I say how DARE Mr. Workman think that just because he does not want to have prayer, that he impose his will on the majority who has already spoken. Mr. Workman, when you go to college, I know you will meet lots of professors who will inflate your bigoted ego even more, telling you that no one has the right to impose their beliefs on you, but as the Man in the Minority, you can tell the majority not only what YOU think, but how THEY should think. When you leave College World, however, you are going to encounter people of different races, creeds, ethnicities, religions, etc. etc. and, speaking as a woman who has taken the humbling fall to the bottom of the totem pole in the workplace, no one is going to give two shakes as to what you think when you enter the Real World. So, as we say down south, "put your big girl panties on and deal with it." Stop making yourself the exception to the rule. It impedes on my constitutional rights.

I'm just saying.

Terror-who?

Over the past century, there are dozens and dozens of terms that have been dubbed "politically incorrect" and have been condemned by everyone except hooligan teenagers, rednecks, and shock jocks. For example, it is wrong to call the mentally ill "crazy," the Sanitation Engineer "the garbage man," impoverished neighborhoods "ghettos," or the vertically challenged "midgets." There are numerous other terms refering to races, religoius preferences, and sexual preferences that I personally find dispicable.

Add this one to the list. President Obama, in an effort to be Your Friendly Worldwide Kissa...umm, Humanitarian has issued a proclamation of sorts declaring that terms such as "jihad," "terrorist," and "Islamic Extremist" when refering to the Muslims are the newest vocabulary of "Words We Cannot Say." He doesn't want to label ALL muslims as extreme fundamentalists because only a small fraction are indeed "extremists," as with any other religion. I think it is important to make the declaration that you cannot stereotype an entire group based on a small percentage. (I just wish he would have said something like "a terrorist is a terrorist, but the Muslim people are not all terrorists.") Anyway. So, playing devil's advocate, I do think that it is a nice thought. But in reality, it will only work in Obama Land at the "It's a Small World" ride.

Now I don't like to offend people unless they have personally made me angry; I don't just go around picking fights with strangers, just friends and family. But something bugs me about this. A terrorist is a terrorist, and in our culture, we associate that word with the jihadists who killed 3,000 people on 9/11/01 in the name of Islam and have been wreaking havoc ever since. The Muslims themselves are not an entirely violent group, just as Christians are not forming militia, and the Tea Partiers are not all calling Senators and Representatives and leaving obscene messages. However, to not call the proverbial bad apple out, is just naive. The goal is to not think all Muslims to be terrorists, right? Isn't it only fair to the Muslim nation that we note who the radical members are in the group and disassociate them with the more moderate ones?

I don't know. But not for lack of trying. Donald Wolfe, a 55-year-old do-gooder from Punxstutawney, PA, was staggering down the road, minding his own business no doubt, when a tear-jerking sight caught his eye. He allegedly slurred the following to himself:

"bah da sta in mu funh. When anyone, left or right, resorts to name calling and attacking the person or the group, it destroys that person's credibility and displays their ignorance on whatever matter. In the case of the left, they are not only name-calling, but they are flat-out lying and manipulating words to fit their agenda. They also accuse us of what they are doing. For example, they think we're "racists," but they call us "rednecks." They think we lie, but their leader does that on a daily basis. They think we scare and confuse, but they bribe and manipulate. Again, the pot calls the kettle what?

I'm just saying.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://justtomakeyoumad.blogspot.com/2010/03/cuba-approves-hooraaaay.html' title='Cuba Approves!! James Clyburn, a top of the line Democrat (who I'm ashamed to say is from my home state) tells Chris Matthews in a recent episode of Hardball that will make you vomit: "if we participate in it...you are aiding and abetting this kind of terrorism, really." Now what are the "terrorist" acts to which he is referring?? Perhaps is was the picture of a noose that someone faxed to his office that he conveniently forgot to take to a news interview and is nowhere to be found on the internet. Maybe the "violent" protest of some Tea Partiers on the lawn of Missouri Congressman Russ Carnahan, and the claims that they left a coffin there (check the link for the story). How about the racial name-calling of a couple of congressmen that was shown with video evidence to be false? No one paid attention to the great Reverend Jesse Jackson trying to incite Tea Party protesters into calling him names. What about a much more recent and MUCH less publicized event: a hateful threatening voicemail from a Pittsburgh man to Eric Odom, a blogger for www.taxdayteaparty.com. You better BELIEVE that's not getting any coverage. Oh well. Ho hum.

Members from both sides are guilty. What makes the Democrats even MORE vile, is that they take the few bad apples and accuse the whole group of a crime. The plight of the right has not made the big news channels like the woes of the left have (nevermind that there is no video or audio evidence to back them up...). In my opinion, Democratic leaders and the left-wing media are trying to turn the general population against Tea Party members because THEY ARE SCARED OF US!!! They KNOW that we bear facts, not empty words. They KNOW that we represent the will of the American people, not the few looking for handouts and revenge against the wealthy. They KNOW that they are turning people against the right so that eyes will be on the "Tea Party Terrorists" and not the Destroyers of the Constitution that we have elected to political office.

One note to my fellow Tea Partiers:
The events that we are being accused of are true to some extent. Lord only knows if we are being set up by our opponents so that America will look down on us. It is important to not give into the temptation to verbally or physically assault ANY democrat or liberal, civilian or politician, no matter HOW vile, left-wing, or socialist they may seem. We have facts and truth. USE THEM!!! Argue facts, do not attack the person. It ruins our credibility. Remember, THEY are the liars, the deceivers, and the destroyers of the Constitution. We bear the truth. We want what is best for Americans because WE ARE AMERICANS!! We want to uphold the Constitution. Don't be discouraged by people like Clyburn and Matthews who cut us down whenever they get. Remember: they are doing exactly what they are accusing US of doing and it is DESTROYING any credibility that they might have, if they ever had it in the first place. Don't stoop down to their level. Stand strong America!! We will have our vengeance in November!!!!

That is all.

Just a Side Note

Now I have approximately a whopping FIVE readers, but despite the numbers, I think it's important to set some ground rules for myself. I have been doing some thinking about calling these progressive rebels dirty names: Corruptocrats, Hypocrats, Damnocrats, Nasty Pelosi, YoMama Obama, etc. I realize, in retrospect, that this will damage my credibility should someone who disagrees with my feelings read my blog. That being said, I will try to refrain from using derogatory phrases in reference to the powers that be, no matter how evil I think they are. However, I will admit to being human (guilty!) so if the occasional "slip" occurs, just cop it to the fact that I haven't had my coffee. So I WILL stick to my ideals and values and I WILL tell you how much I disagree with basically everything this administration does, but I will do my best to do it with Southern Class. :)

One other thing...Michelle Malkin and I have been on the same wave length for the past couple of days...She said: Let the discussion flourish, and challenge your opponent’s arguments with your arguments. At approximately 2:30PM today (March 18, 2010), Representatives in the once-great House of Representatives voted for a measure that would allow the passage of the ObamaCare into law without an actual vote. (I'm not going to bring up School House Rock again...see last post). Many Americans, conservative or otherwise intelligent, are infuriated with this blatant breach of constitutionality and over half of the States are preparing lawsuits against the Federal government should YoMamaObamaCare pass. What can possibly be done?

Article 3, Section III of the United States Constitution states: "treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court. The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted." As one of my favorite college professors used to say, "Let's unpack that."

First of all, I am willing to bet that when our Forefathers drafted the Constitution, they would have never imagined in their wildest dreams that the "enemy" would be Congress and the President. Senators and Republicans have always taken an oath vowing to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic." What defines a "Domestic Enemy" of the United States? My definition would say something to the effect of "anyone whose ideals contradict values and laws of established order." For example, if the law prohibits theft, then the bottom line is anyone who steals is a criminal. If someone, particularly a government official, proposes a law prohibiting prosecution of one who steals is a domestic enemy...they are contradicting the established order.

Let's put that into perspective of today's vote. Nancy Pelosi and Louise Slaughter have not only concocted a proposal that BLATANTLY defies the Constitution, but they have used their liberal swagger to brib--er, convince 222 Representatives that they are above following the blessed Law of the Land while the President, Mr. Barack Obama, sits back smirking with approval. Where is justice?? What can be done to fight back?? I completely condone the thought of suing the President and his anti-American storm troopers. Granted, I have no legal training, but just because he is the President does not mean that he is above the law. After all, he admitted he wasn't familiar with the proceedings of Congress, so who knows what else he is incapable of. I also 110% endorse checking out the roll call and contacting your Representative who had the gall to vote "Yea." Let them know that you're infuriated that they are risking every ideal you have as an American to force this pork-filled bill down the throats of a majority of Americans who DO NOT WANT IT!!! Tell them that you WILL remember in November!!! Tell them that they are not above the law, and there WILL be consequences.

There have been less than 40 treason trials in the United States and even fewer convictions *. If, after the approval of the Slaughter Rule, you do not think our President and his drones are not a shining case of being "enemies" of the United States of America, we must be living in different countries.

Yo'Mama Obama

Living without the luxuries of cable and internet after 5PM, I am required to resort to "The Morning After" reports of the antics of my favorite dicta--err, president. Apparently, YoMama Obama had a nice little chat with Fox News's Bret Baier last night and did something of a ObamaCare informercial, avoiding all questions and even throwing in a few Obamateurisms of his own. Just wanted to hit on a couple of points.

1. Baier: So do you support the use of this Slaughter rule? The deem and pass rule, so that Democrats avoid a straight up or down vote on the Senate bill? Obama: ...I don't spend a lot of time worrying about what the procedural rules are in the House or the Senate.

What a nice thought. I remember learning in high school, maybe even in elementary school, the process of how a bill becomes a law. School House Rock anyone?? So how does an educated man who has not only served as a Senator, but has manged to finnagle his way to the office of the President, NOT WORRY ABOUT THE PROCEDURAL RULES OF CONGRESS??? Obviously, he does not realize that American people are calling him on his BS!! It seems to me, a knowledge of civics should be a requirement for anybody running for an elected office.

2. Baier: So you support the deem and pass rule: Obama: What I'm saying is whatever they end up voting on — and I hope it's going to be sometime this week — that it is going to be a vote for or against my health care proposal. That's what matters. That's what ultimately people are going to judge this on.

Another prerequisite for running for political office? Basic constitutional knowledge. The “Deem and Pass Rule,” also known as the “Slaughter Rule,” will allow the health care bill to pass into law without an actual vote. As if it is not bad enough that our elected officials in Congress do not see this movement as COMPLETELY unconstitutional, but your president does not condemn it. As usual, he avoids the question and weasels his way through the interview.

3. Baier: Do you know which specific deals are in or out as of today? Obama: I am certain that we’ve made sure…that any burdens on states are alleviated....I’ll give you some exceptions though…I’m giving you an example of one that I consider important. It also affects Hawaii, which went through an earthquake.

*Blank stare* Okay. Earthquake in Haiti, yes. Earthquake in Chile, yes. Earthquake in Hawaii, what? Did this happen last night when I was asleep? When did an earthquake hit Hawaii?!! Were people killed??? I could really use a vacat—er, I would really love to do some mission work there. Wait. The last earthquake resulting in deaths was in 1975? What’s today’s date? *Looks at watch* Did I just black out and travel back in time? What does the earthquake in Hawaii have to do with anything? *Rubs head*

4. Obama (on what is in the bill): …By the time the vote has taken place, not only will I know what’s in it, you’ll know what’s in it because it’s going to be posted and everybody’s going to be able to evaluate it on the merits.

My head hurts from trying to figure out this man’s logic. So you don’t know what’s in the bill, but you’re trying to pass it. Not only are you trying to pass it, but you are using sneaky, underhanded tactics to cut deals, bribe politicians, and undercut the Constitution to do it!!

5. Obama: Now, we can fix this in a way that is sensible, that is centrist. I have rejected a whole bunch of provisions that the left wanted that are — you know, they were very adamant about because I thought it would be too disruptive to the system

I am completely speechless. This man is looking Bret Baier straight in the eye and LYING on national television!! Not only that, but he is lying to the millions of conservative viewers who are watching and critiquing him on Fox!!! Who does he think we are?? Why does he have no respect for the American people? I know his Senior Adviser David Axelrod thinks that Americans are too unintelligent and uninformed on the policies of Congress (turns out no more than their fearless leader), but come on. What has this man done that is CENTRIST??

So congratulations America. You have chosen a first class leader. Not only is he a liar, but he's also a moron who does not deserve to be dictat--er, leading this once-great nation.

Change We Can Believe In?

During the campaigning for the 2008 Presidential Election, or as I like to call it The Campaign to Destroy America, Barack Obama promised millions of constituents "change." This promise fell fresh upon the ears of 61% of voters (*) who did not approve of Former President Bush's administration. His push for this "change" caused voters to breathe a sigh of relief. He promised to improve our economy, to overhaul healthcare, to create jobs, to end the war in Iraq, to protect Social Security, to provide the middle-class with tax breaks, and promised to practice the "American tradition of smart diplomacy" (**), blaming Bush's administration for every problem. Let's review how far we've come since January 2009, shall we?

Consider this article from Investor's Business Daily on the $862 billion dollar (failed) stimulus plan here. What it boils down to, is tax payers spent (wasted) HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS actually creating very little "stimulus." Where there is stimulus, the money won't been seen for a couple of years. Budgets are being hacked to pieces, companies are booting employees left and right, leaving our unemployment rate well over 9%. Last time I checked, Obama sent another round of troops to Afghanistan. Social Security looks bleak. Taxes are going up. And diplomacy? Didn't he make a statement to the world community apologizing for America? What kind of diplomat bad-mouth's his own country??

Finally, there is the fiasco that is Health-Care reform. As if Americans haven't shouted loudly enough for it's demise, sneaky politicians on the Hill seem to think that with their education and career choice, they know what is best for all Americans. As a matter of fact, I believe Mr. Axelrod made the comment that Americans "don't understand how Congress works;" that we don't understand the intricacies of the bill. However, as one blog reader put it: "Barack, Axelrod, Rahm, Gibby, et al do not know how the American People work. They'll find out in November..." The Democrats are so insistent upon getting this law passed that they are resorting to cheap, unconstitutional tactics. See Slaughter Solution.

So where has this "change" taken us? How about deeper into an economical depression? How about deeper into a national state of despair? How about a deeper distrust of politicians who try to force their agenda down our throats? How about further away from what our founders had in mind? A nation of turmoil? A nation of unease? A nation that is now fed-up.

One last note. Dear Obama, You have been in office for over a year now. It is time to stop blaming Bush for every problem in America and take responsibility for the mess that you are now creating.
That is all.
-----------------------------------------------------------
*http://www.gallup.com/poll/113770/bush-presidency-closes-34-approval-61-disapproval.aspx
**http://www.barackobama.com/issues/index_campaign.php

American Heritage

In today's "America," citizens and immigrants are representations of different countries, tribes, and nations. For hundreds of years, citizens of the world have crossed land and sea to live in the United States, land of the American Dream. America has opened its arms to immigrants and has permitted them to mesh into her society. Immigrants were supposed to learn the language, customs, and history of this great country in order to receive all she has to offer. Give a little, get a little, if you will. Irish, Scottish, Chinese, Japanese, Indians, and countless others all became citizens of the US and joined the conglomeration of nationalities who called themselves "Americans." When asked, they would proudly declare "I am now an American," maybe adding on the end that they or their parents were born in Ireland, Scotland, China, etc. Not so long ago, people were proud to say "I am an American," despite their nationality.

In what seems to have been the blink of an eye, that mindset has changed, perhaps with the beginnings of Affirmative Action, but who am I to say? (I'm just a middle-class, white, Christian woman...4 Strikes). Nowadays, people are clinging to their "nationalities" even though their ancestors have been in the United States for GENERATIONS!!! Take, for example, those who say their ethnicity is "African-Americans." First of all, "Africa" is a continent, not a country. No one is "African-American." You are Nigerian-American, Egyptian-American, Congolese-American, South-African-American, etc. I'm willing to bet that the majority of the people whose ancestors have been in the US for generations yet claim to belong to another nationality have never been to their respective "country of origin" at all. I guess I would consider myself a Scottish-American, but i have never been to Scotland. Americans, be they white, black, yellow, or brown, whose families have been in the United States for hundreds of years, should refer to themselves as "Americans" and not distinguish themselves by their ancestors' nationalities.

Now don't think for one moment that I am discounting citizens or immigrants of the United States who ARE from abroad. If, for example, your father and/or mother were from China, Poland, Algeria, Iraq, etc. and speak the language or have traditions from their homeland, I think it is important to pass those customs on because the "melting pot" of cultures is what makes America special. However, unless you were born in another country, you should consider yourself an American. After all, SOMEONE left their homeland for America to become a citizen of this great nation. Shouldn't you take pride in your status as an American citizen?
